Following on from the outstandingly successful Adelaide Fringe productions of Oliver!, Peter Pan and Mary Poppins comes...

CHITTY CHITTY BANG BANG

(For cast members 10-21 years old)

About the Show

Chitty Chitty Bang Bang is one of the most popular stories ever told. It has brought enormous joy to children and adults alike for more than 50 years. As a musical, it has been produced successfully all around the world and there are many wonderful opportunities to challenge young actors while they thoroughly enjoy the experience of bringing this wonderful story to theatrical life.

An eccentric inventor, Caractacus Potts sets about restoring an old race car from a scrap heap with the help of his children Jeremy and Jemima. They soon discover the car has magical properties including the ability to float and take flight. Trouble occurs when the evil Baron Bomburst desires the magic car for himself. The family joins forces with Truly Scrumptious and batty Grandpa Potts to outwit the dastardly Baron and Baroness and their villainous henchman, the Child Catcher

Directed by the talented Georgia Brass, with Musical Director Ben Francis, Choreographer Jacinta Vistoli, and Production Manager Kaitlyn McKenzie, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang is shaping up to be one of the best shows we have brought to the Fringe line-up!

The production will be performed in the outstanding professional performance venue, the Norwood Concert Hall. Tickets will go on sale via FringeTIX later this year.
